Salutations to Lord Shiva, the Lord of the Universe, who rescues us from the ocean of worldly miseries, whose words are nectar to the ears, who wears the moon on His head, whose complexion is as radiant as camphor, and who destroys the sorrows of poverty.
गौरीप्रियाय रजनीशकलाधराय
कालान्तकाय भुजगाधिप कंकणाय ।
गंगाधराय गजराज विमर्दनाय
दारिद्र्य दुःख दहनाय नमः शिवाय ॥
Salutations to the beloved of Goddess Parvati, who bears the crescent moon, who is the destroyer of Time, who wears serpents as ornaments, who holds the holy Ganga, who defeated the mighty elephant demon, and who destroys the pains of poverty.
भक्तिप्रियाय भवरोग भयापहाय
उग्राय दुर्गभवसागर तारणाय ।
ज्योतिर्मयाय गुणनाम सुनृत्यकाय

भालेक्षणाय मणिकुण्डल मण्डिताय ।
मञ्जीरपादयुगलाय जटाधराय

I bow to Shiva, who is clad in elephant hide, who is smeared with holy ash, whose third eye shines on His forehead, who wears gem-studded earrings, whose feet are adorned with anklets, who has matted locks, and who destroys poverty and suffering.
पञ्चाननाय फणिराज विभूषणाय
हेमांशुकाय भुवनत्रय मण्डिताय ।
आनन्दभूमिवरदाय तमोमयाय

Salutations to the five-faced Shiva, who is adorned with the king of serpents, whose garment is golden, who is worshipped by the three worlds, who grants supreme bliss, who removes darkness, and who destroys the sorrows of poverty.
